Absence of Newman

I will miss Paul Newman, who died today.  His great performance in Absence of Malice really made that film come alive to me as a journalist.  The world is smaller today without him.

    I have a funny story about Paul Newman, which involves my Mom, Paul Newman, and an ice cream cone. Tune in Monday, when I’ve got all the pieces together and can coherently tell the story–I’m too broken up now. All I can say is, what a classy guy!

    I agree totally…he was one of a kind and an actor of a type we may never know again. He will be missed.

    He was, perhaps, my favorite actor of all time. :(
