PBS Frontline: The Tank Man

One of journalism’s finest moments, capturing the footage of the stunning crackdown on Chinese students and citizens during the Tiannamen Square protests in 1989. Make sure your plugins are up to date before trying to watch online. Even with DSL, the video is not so great. But worth it. This really shows why we need professional journalists and foreign news desks for our newspapers and broadcast outlets. Chinese bloggers would be shut down before the story could get out if it were to happen today.
