Learn Recipes For The Black Art of Video Compression

The Multimedia Shooter has some really interesting “recipes” for using common applications to compress your video for the web.

I plan on trying their recipe for Quicktime for web compression called Quicktime flat bread.

I’ve been using iMovie to compress our videos, but I’m not happy with the look of the final compressed files.

Break a few video eggs, add floured footage and bake.

Update:  I compressed a short web commercial for our yearbook in Quicktime and it looks 10 times better than when we did it in iMovie.  The QT compression is much higher quality with smaller files too!
