The Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas has a great exhibit of the first ever photography by Joseph Niépce. Of course those of you who read this blog from outside of Texas might have a long trip. But if that is the case, then visit the online exhibit.
If you do live in Texas, it is worth the visit. Of course you can check it out on your way to the April state journalism ILPC convention on the UT campus. Make a full weekend in Austin with visits to the Museum of Texas and the capital building too. All in walking distance of each other.
But the Ransom Center is worth the visit just to see the photo.
