ASNE Arizona Day 3

Today was fairly interesting.  One of our instructors from ASU showed us a great technique using the opening speech from Patton as a note taking exercise – awesome.  We went over leads, quotes and speech stories in ways that I never thought about before – all will be useful in the classroom.  The most fun thing we did was write a story.  We were given a talk by the Dean of the Cronkite school at ASU about the future of jounalism and j-education.  We had to listen to the speech, take notes, take a photo, and ask questions.  That was a lot of work.  We then had two hours to write our story and turn in our photo.  I also made some progress on my story for next week.  I’ve gotten three interviews done already.  Yah me!
