One of my seniors was so proud that she was able to finally do a specific yearbook task without any help. I told her that it wasn’t right for her to finally get it, now that she is only months from graduation.
I mean, why couldn’t she “get it” a year ago? I’m not trying to be mean. She is a very smart girl, but this one thing has eluded her. And now, she can do it without anyone helping her. But, now she’ll rarely ever get the chance to do that ever again. Her yearbook days are nearly over.
It is the bane of all yearbook teachers.

So true! Why is it that when we finally get them “trained,” they graduate?
Exactly my lament!
