My name is Robert Courtemanche. I am a Journalism and Media Technology teacher near Houston, Texas. I’ve been teaching since 1995.
I am at Certified Journalism Educator (CJE) from the Journalism Education Association. I have been an Americans Society of Newspaper Editors Reynolds Institute fellow at Arizona State. I have a B.A. in Journalism from Angelo State University and a B.A. in History. I have a teaching certification from the state of Texas for secondary (6-12) journalism, history and (7-12) technology applications.
I currently teach advanced journalism: yearbook production, newspaper production, broadcast journalism, photojournalism, desktop publishing, web mastering and video technology.
I spent five years working in television (KIDY-FOX 6, KNCT-PBS 46) and one summer as a newspaper intern at the Killeen Daily Herald. I was also the sports editor and managing editor of my college newspaper, the Ram Page and the news editor of my high school newspaper The Trojan Flash.
